This volume, with a Gio Ponti preface, is the only testimony of an architectural competition about the theme of the villa, banned in the scope of the IV Triennale di Monza in 1930.
Here there are 36 projects of the most notorious Italian architects, from Franco Albini and Giancarlo Palanti to Alberto Sartoris, from Paolo Buffa and Antonio Cassi Ramelli to Giuseppe Pagano and Gino Levi Montalcini, to Piero Portaluppi, Tommaso Buzzi, Piero Bottoni, Gustavo Pulitzer Finali, Mario Ridolfi and others. Every project is illustrated with a colour table and with external and internal drawings, in addition to a detailed description.
